UEA Weekend
It is UEA weekend and instead of taking off and playing, I decided to get a bunch of stuff done to lessen the stress in my life. Heather and Brittany (bless their little hearts) came and helped me put away my patio furniture before the "real" snow flies. We took a lot of "my junk" from my storage shed and put it out for the trash pickup, knowing that most of it would get "picked up" by others instead. We put out a gas BBQ grill, a lawnmower, a bunch of exercise equipment, a basketball standard, a table frame, bean bags, cardboard storage boxes, a bunch of rebar and metal pipes, RR ties, sawhorses used for cutting wood, wooden pallet, and scraps of wood. People were coming by and taking it before we finished at dark. By noon today, most everything but the broken wood and cardboard was gone. One man's trash is another man's treasure! Anyway, the tramp is down and put away and all the furniture stashed away. I'm running some errands today, cleaning the house, working on school stuff (way too many hours spent on this), doing laundry, etc. I also slept in today - what a nice change that was. I am getting stuff done and it is helping to relieve the load on my shoulders. I've spent too much time today on my blog, so I've got to get busy with other things, at least until dark :-)

Good job mom! Just a little at a time...but doesn't it feel nice to have just a little of that stuff gone so you don't have to dread doing something with it anymore?
That's great that all the stuff got taken. When I first was trying to de-clutter my life, it always made me feel better taking it to DI or giving it away rather than throwing it away. It was somehow easier to part with it if I didn't have to picture it sitting in a landfill. It gets easier the more you "practice" parting with "stuff". Keep up the good work!!! :)
Hey! Good to hear from you. Sounds like you've been busy. Can't take a break for the weekend eh?!?! Well, how is school going? Same old, same old? I hope all is well. I miss you guys a ton! I will have to come see y ou all again soon. Say hey to everyone for me. --Maren
