Fun, Fun, Fun

I had an MRI on my shoulder and then went to an orthopedic speciality doc at TOSH. I have tendonitis and bursitis which have created an impingement of the rotator cuff and finally resulted in a frozen shoulder. I'm having a surgical procedure done next week. It's called a shoulder manipulation. They put me totally out and then move it around breaking loose all of the tendons that are causing the problem. OUCH!!! Then they will stuff it full of cortisone. He said they have to put me out because otherwise my body would not allow them to do the procedure. Then I will have intensive physical therapy every day, starting that very day, to keep it moving. He wanted me to take a week off, but we settled on 3 days off work and then the weekend. Hopefully after a few days of horrible pain it will start getting better. Sounds fun, huh?

On to a happier note, it was a great week for the family. Brooke turned 4 on April 6th, Becca turned 6 on April 7th, and little Eli was blessed on April 11th. Krishele and her kids came from Idaho and Brittany and her kids came from Pleasant View for a birthday party at Heather's on Saturday. All of us were at the blessing on Sunday and spent any enjoyable afternoon/evening at Brittany's along with Dan's family. It is always great to be with my daughters, their husbands and my very beautiful grandchildren. Two weeks ago, we all descended on Krishele for Kate's 6th birthday and enjoyed each other's company along with part of Jason's family. What would life be without family???

I really need to get some pics uploaded to show off my great family!!!

The Lord's Prayer

I heard this rendition of the Lord's Prayer with the Tab Choir and Andrea Bocelli (I love his voice!) and it gave me chills. I wanted to be able to save it and share it with others. Click on the link, turn up your sound, and bask in the glorious sound.

The Grandkids and Christmas

What would Christmas be without family? I was very lucky to have all the family spend some holiday time with me. I had Krishele take some pics with her new fancy camera of me with all the precious little ones. It was rather tricky to try to get some many wiggly bodies to sort of look at the camera and kind of smile all at the same time. With moms and dads behind the cameras making all sorts of noises and faces, we actually got quite a few cute pics.

Vacation to Disneyland

Heather & Brittany and their families and I went to Disneyland & California Adventure for Thanksgiving. We stopped in Las Vegas on the way and made a little side trip to San Diego to Sea World. The weather was extra warm and beautiful (a little chilly at night) and we had tons of fun. We had Breakfast with the Characters and Lunch with the Princesses. Disneyland was lit up for Christmas, even though it didn't feel like the holidays temperature wise. We're certainly not used to shorts & t-shirt weather at that time of year. It was so fun to see all the little girls experience Disneyland for the first time. After the parade, the Castle lit up like it was covered with ice and snow, all the lights across main street and on the huge tree changed from colored to white and it began snowing right there on main street. It was absolutely magical!
